Wrexham council has announced that it will take advantage of the government's feed in tariff by installing solar PV panels to 3,000 of its' council house stock, schools and other council buildings.
It's believed to be the first local authority to take advantage of the incentive which could cut the energy bills of about a third of their tenants' by up to 40% and generate £25 million for the council.
