Renewable Energy Incentive

The Carbon Trust ended funding for installation of renewable energy schemes in February 2010. These grants were replaced by Feed In Tariffs (FITs) two months later. This is also known as the Clean Energy Cash-Back Scheme, under which every household generating up to 5 Megawatts of electricity will receive payments for every Kilowatt produced guaranteed for a period of 25 years after installation if installed before 2013.

With the current incentive there are three ways to generate money or savings from Solar PV. The Generation Tariff pays you for each kWh of electricity produced whether it's used by you or fed back. An additional premium is paid for each unit exported back to the grid. Substantial savings are also made by avoiding constantly rising energy costs.

  • Get paid for the electricity you use
  • Get paid more for the electricity you don't use
  • Avoid constantly increasing energy costs
  • Increase the value of your home
  • Incentive payments are Tax Free
  • Payments are guaranteed for 25 years

Average households earn around £835 per year & Cuts CO2 by around 1.2 tonnes per year
